57th Infantry, Regimental Color. The 57th was organized during the fall of 1861, and was composed of men from Susquehanna, Wyoming, Mercer, Tioga, Allegheny, Centre, Bradford, Venango, and Crawford counties. It is possible the 57th requested this flag to carry in the May 1865 Grand Review. The 57th was mustered out of service on June 29, 1865.

The 57th was organized during the fall of 1861, and was composed of men from Susquehanna, Wyoming, Mercer, Tioga, Allegheny, Centre, Bradford, Venango, and Crawford counties. Due to its excellent condition, it is possible the 57th requested the flag to carry in the May 1865 Grand Review. The 57th was mustered out of service on June 29, 1865.

57th Infantry, First State Color. The 57th was organized during the fall of 1861, and was composed of men from Susquehanna, Wyoming, Mercer, Tioga, Allegheny, Centre, Bradford, Venango, and Crawford counties. The regiment was presented their first state color on December 14, 1861 by Governor Curtin. Sergeant Edgar Williams may have been the initial color-sergeant. In 1864 most of the regiment re-enlisted, and the state color was left in Harrisburg while the men were on furlough. The 57th was mustered out of service on June 29, 1865.

57th Infantry, Second State Color. The 57th was organized during the fall of 1861, and was composed of men from Susquehanna, Wyoming, Mercer, Tioga, Allegheny, Centre, Bradford, Venango, and Crawford counties. The second state color was sent to Colonel Peter Sides in February 1864, and Sergeant Cyrus P. Slaven was appointed as bearer on April 23. In January 1865, the 84th PA merged with the 57th. The 57th was mustered out of service on June 29, 1865.
